오모로 소시는 12세기에서 17세기 초 오키나와 주민들이 불렀던 노래들을 모은 가장 오래된 민요집입니다. 오모로는 류큐 방언으로 오키나와와 아마미섬에서 여러 세대를 거쳐 전해 내려온 오래된 노래를 의미합니다. 오모로 식물원에는 오모로 소시에서 언급된 22종의 오키나와 토종 식물이 자라고 있습니다.
